Starting from September 12, 2016 the University has started accepting applications for general courses and seminars in the Flying University.

The students will also have a chance to join Schools of Masters of Game that were initiated in January 2016.

This academic year, the Flying University’s focus is individuality, self-determination, identity, and constructing free time. As always, we don’t give “correct answers”, but offer tools, methods and means of communication instead.

This year, education in the Flying University will again happen at two levels.

At the first level, students can enroll for general courses.

They provide for the development of various approaches in thinking, humanitarian and intellectual practices; introduce current and unique areas of modern Belarusan thinking, and help search for a Teacher.

• Introduction to Postcolonial Theory — Ihar Babkou;
• Social Theory and Modernity — Halina Rusetskaya;
• Modern media and the principles of their analysis — Aliaksandr Sarna;
• Categories and Principles of Historical Thinking — Lilia Ilushyna;
• The Rules of Analytics: Data and its Interpretation — Andrei Yahorau, Tatsiana Vadalazhskaya, Alena Baradachova;
• The School of Bible — Iryna Dubianetskaya;
• D5. “Dezań!” — Michal Aniempadystau;
• Symbolic Interpretation Techniques — Paval Barkouski, Aliaksandr Sarna.

The second level of education is based on Schools of Masters of Games.

We know about Magister ludi from the works of Hermann Gesse. Schools of Masters of Games are small groups that work in close communication with the Belarusan thinkers and intellectuals. Last year four schools opened, and one can join them by submitting an application and passing an interview.

• A School of History of Ideas led by Ihar Babkou;
• Methodological School led by Uladzimir Matskevich, Tatsiana Vadalazhskaya;
• School of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania led by Aleh Dziarnovich;
• School of Sociophilosophical Analytics organized by the Belarusan Philosophical Space community.

During the year, several workshops will be working.

They are aimed at the development of ideas, testing the knowledge acquired and position formed, criticism and work on intellectual tasks. This is a meeting place not only with teachers, but a meeting place of colleagues.

• Workshop of your-own-language: Thinking in Belarusan — Mikhail Bayaryn, Ihar Kulikou;
• Methodological Seminar — Uladzimir Matskevich, Tatsiana Vadalazhskaya;
• University Seminar.

If you want to participate in the new program of the Flying University, you should apply before October 10, 2016 (application form is in the link of the course/school).
