The roundtable discussion “EU-Belarus puzzle: rethinking European policy” will take place on 19 June 2013, 14.00-15.30 at the European Parliament in Brussels (room PHS 1C51).

Based on the results of Conference of the Belarusan National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, that took place in Minsk on June 1, the participants have adopted a resolution, which full text is offered at the site.

What are the main results of the EaP CSF National Platform’s Conference? What is it noticed for?

Their opinion to the EuroBelarus Information Service expressed the new members of the Coordination Committee elected during the Conference of the National Platform.

After the elections of the new chairperson of the Coordination Committee of the Belarusan National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum lots of fantasies and speculations appeared in different sectors of society.

On May 1 the conference titled “Between the Eastern Partnership and the European Dialog on Modernization” was held in Minsk, resulting in the election of new Coordination Committee and its chairman.

The forthcoming conference of the Belarusan National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum should resolve the whole number of contradictions between its participants.

Civil society didn’t manage to find its place in the program of co-operation between the EU and Belarus; i.e. between Eastern Partnership and the European Dialogue on Modernization with Belarusan society.

One year passed since European Dialogue on Modernization with Belarusan society (EDM) has started. However, the Dialogue does not head the list of foreign policy agenda of the European Union.
