On November 20-21 in Kyiv the 7th annual meeting of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum was taking place. Belarusan delegation took active part in it.

On the first working day of the assembly the elections of facilitators for every country of the Eastern Partnership took place. Members of the Belarusan delegation elected Ulad Vialichka, director general of the International Consortium “EuroBelarus”, to be the country facilitator for Belarus of the EaP CSF.

On the 2nd day of the Forum the elections of coordinators of five working groups (two coordinators for each group, where one is a representative of the countries-partners, the other one is a representative of the EU countries) took place. By results of the vote, one more representative from Belarus became the coordinator of Working Group 3 (Environment, climate change and energy security) of the Forum — Nastassia Bekish, who represents the Environmental NGOs of Belarus “Green Alliance”.

Ulad Vialichka and Nastassia Bekish are the members of the new Steering Committee of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.

Let us recall that earlier, in 2009-2011, Ulad Vialichka has been elected the country facilitator for Belarus of the EaP CSF twice and in 2010-2011 used to be the co-chairman of the Steering Committee of the EaP CSF at the same time.

For the previous two years the position of a country facilitator for Belarus of the EaP CSF was occupied by the head of the Center for European Transformation Andrei Yahorau. He was also the co-chairman of the Steering Committee of the EaP CSF in 2014-2015.
