Belarus head long ago realized the advantages of independence; he doesn’t want to be Kremlin’s deputy. That is why we observe Lukashenko’s alleged switch to Belarusanism. And that is a forced switch.

The EU is underestimating the long-term nature of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which is already common-European.

However, without fulfilling political obligations Belarusan authorities shouldn’t count neither on serious level of economic cooperation with the EU nor on large investments.

It seems that Ukraine and Mariupol are perceived as not its own territory by Europe. That is why EU’s interference in Russia-Ukraine conflict is so inert and inconsistent.

It is unclear whether the Belarusan government has an action plan to step out of the crisis; so the only thing left for Belarusans is to stay confused and pop-eyed.

The tactics of the authorities is to file legal complaints against their opponents, without going into detail and disregarding the public response to the cases.

The Head of the Legal Transformation Center (Lawtrend) is not going to live and work in Russia, and promises to get back to the situation with law and issues of democracy in Belarus in three years.

Europe is unlikely to reject the multicultural doctrine, even though it will have to review a number of issues related to the naturalization of migrants.

It is impossible to regain the situation back after the attacks in Paris, so we have to look for new solutions. A lot of aspects and a lot of players should be involved in the search of the common way.

In 2015 Belarus will try to restore its relations with the EU and get access to loans and EU financial instruments on its own terms.
